Also, Clark wants to instil creativity in her students. Considering that she continually looks for ways to reinvent herself, she wants her audience to think in a similar direction.

Accordingly, the course contains a host of things you’ve likely never seen before, such as rediscovering your groove by playing a familiar song on an electric or acoustic guitar with unfamiliar tuning or putting paper clips on your instrument.

The on-screen glossary plays a significant role. Since there’s technical language throughout the videos, Annie doesn’t get a chance to explain some of them, such as phantom power and midi. But you still find out what they refer to owing to the on-screen glossary.

Even if you don’t possess a lot of prior knowledge, you can understand most of the language and benefit significantly from the course with these little extras.

As for the downsides, this Saint Vincent review will note two minor issues.

First, the course contains many demonstrations overall, but that’s not the case with the first couple of videos.

Namely, she only begins to play the guitar in the third lesson. Adding the instrument from the very beginning would have been a nice touch and made the course more gripping from the onset.

And second, this is one of the shortest MasterClass lectures. It’s about two hours long, and while it’s generally an excellent viewing experience, more elements could have been added.
